Creative Writing Club News

Congratulations to our Creative Writing Club members for being chosen for publication in Young Writers' "Mission Chaos - Epic Tales! Their work has been selected from thousands of entries nationwide to be featured in this prestigious anthology. This is a fantastic achievement, and we're incredibly proud of our student's talent and creativity. A copy of "Mission Chaos - Epic Tales" will be placed in the National Archives of the British Library, preserving their work for generations to come.

 

IMMINENT DEATH

The sinister shadow loomed above me, the claws sharp like a scythe, blood pooling on the floor. I couldn’t see anything but the razor-like teeth, sticking out and almost piercing my skin. The moon was dark and the atmosphere blood-curdling. I spoke my last words then I heard a deafening screech. The figure boomed onto me. I violently shook and stood up. It had died. An unfamiliar voice followed. “Follow me or we’re all going to die!” I stood but crashed back down, feeling a searing sensation, exposing my innards, paired scarily with silence. Love Vs War

After a bizarre creature outbreak on Earth that killed many people, only a few survivors remained. With quick thinking, I saved my love (Peter), who was being attacked. We fought and quickly ran to the bunker as people continued to die rapidly. The two of us left Earth in a spaceship and watched it explode from space. We landed on a new planet similar to Earth but without humans or animals. We started our untouched lives in a world made by chaos and destruction that we had left behind.

The Antimatter Project

“Sir,” my assistant said to me, “the subject’s gone.” Indeed, the subject was running rampant, antimatter flowing through her veins.

Before I left the lab, I could already see the city in ruin. She was spreading the antimatter to the civilians too. You could see it in their distorted eyes.

She was growing abnormally tall, and her chest visibly jumped from the energy pounding in her heart. All her human instinct had gone. Antimatter leapt from her now – muscular arms.

With no attempt to intervene, I watched a 10 year old girl from London transform into an uncontrollable monster.
